What does STEP UP do?
STEP UP is a Research and Innovation Action under Horizon Europe, funded by the European Union (4 years runtime, 2024-2027, 16 partners from 10 countries). The project will deliver a platform on livestock production to support policymakers. STEP UP will generate unambiguous and quantitative information, and will provide science-based evidence on the impacts, both positive and negative, of European livestock farming. It will also monetize impacts and devise transition pathways and forecast scenarios.
STEP UP will map and analyse quantifiable information regarding the sustainability of European livestock farming and offer solutions to further improve it.

Stakeholders play a crucial role in STEP UP
Stakeholders (i.e. you reading this!) are crucial in the discussions that STEP UP will address as multiple people have unique and interconnected roles that impact the overall success and sustainability of European livestock production systems.
We will use the Multi-Actor Approach (MAA), ensuring effective information flow between the consortium’s partners and you the stakeholders. Collaboration and input are vital to addressing challenges and advancing the sector.
