Farmtopia

Farmtopia is a Horizon Europe project that aims to democratise digital farming by creating a paradigm shift in the way Agricultural Digital Solutions (ADSs) for small farms are created, deployed, and paid for. The project focuses on fostering co-creation of ADSs to ensure they solve real problems and fit the needs of small farms, while also lowering costs for both farmers and ADS providers. The project has set up 18 Sustainable Innovation Pilots (SIPs); nine of them were pre-selected, while the remaining nine are being granted through an Open Call process. These SIPs focus on crops and livestock, tackling the underdeveloped and insufficient existing ADSs while also highlighting regionally important crops. The ADSs will be validated in various countries across Europe.
